Mental Health Allyship is key to changing the rhetoric

At AMS, we are marking Mental Health week. It is incredible to see the change in attitudes toward supporting Mental health which have taken place over the past decade. Never before have we witnessed more discussion and candid sharing on this important topic.

Some of the most profound support mechanisms for individuals seeking Mental Health support is in the form of allyship. One to one peer conversations, manager led discussions and a combination of formal and informal support are key.

Equipping yourself and your teams to have these important conversations is the first step in creating an inclusive environment where individuals with mental health challenges can thrive.

To be a mental health ally at work is to help those struggling with mental health issues feel valued and needed.
