Violence against women is a pervasive global issue that affects millions of individuals in various forms, both inside and outside the workplace.
At AMS we are dedicated to fostering an environment where all employees feel safe, valued, and empowered. Especially during the days of activism against gender-based violence we encourage all team members to reflect on the role we each play in building a society that rejects violence and discrimination.
I was in shock seeing this graph demonstrating the pervasiveness of violence in Europe.
So between the 25th of November, the Day against Gender-based Violence, and 10th of December, marking the International Human Rights Day, we recognise the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence showing our employees how to act in the face of violence and how to be an ally.
I firmly believe that sharing knowledge and educating ourselves and others is the first step to inclusion, acceptance and where necessary, action. For this year's milestone, my key takeaway is the importance of education, learning more about what we can do to help each other in these scenarios can only drive the progress we so desperately need.
